It was with great pleasure that members voted Norm Hill in as a Life Member at our AGM. Norm has been a member for many years and has often been the 'public face' of the Club at the lake.
Mike Hefford comments: "Norm often took it upon himself to clear the inlet pipe to Victoria Lake of weed and debris on the Lake Albert side. His willingness to provide good facilities when we were operating from the small boat shed was second to none. He always ensured the jetty was scrubbed and weeds around it removed and made sure the flags of the Club were flying in the correct order.
He was delighted when the club co-opted him to Public Liaison Officer. His sailing took second place to his way of making the public feel welcome and I would venture to say that some members have joined as a direct result of Norm's skills with informing the public of the Club and its history."
Norm could not attend the AGM due to ill health, although we understand he is on the mend. We hope to see him back at the lake soon.
